A Home Watcher is a trusted local professional who completes in-person home visits and helps homeowners stay informed while they're away.
Apply through the EverAway app or website. Qualified applicants complete identity verification, background checks, and onboarding before accepting visits. You must be at least 21 years old to become a Home Watcher on EverAway.
Visits can include routine home checks, storm checks, guest-ready walkthroughs, post-stay inspections, vendor meetups, package checks, and other homeowner requests.
Yes. Home Watchers choose when they're available and which visits they want to accept.
Yes. Home Watchers can set pricing within platform guidelines based on the type of visit, estimated time, and level of support needed.
Document the issue through the app and notify the homeowner so the next steps can be coordinated quickly.
No prior home watch experience is required. Reliability, professionalism, communication, and attention to detail are what matter most.
Homeowners provide approved access instructions, which may include smart locks, lockboxes, gate access, building staff, or homeowner-provided instructions.
Home Watchers are paid through the platform for completed visits and approved services.
Homeowners can leave ratings and reviews after completed visits. Strong reviews help build trust and unlock additional opportunities over time.
Cancellations more than four hours before your scheduled visit will receive a full refund. Cancellations made within four hours of the visit are nonrefundable. You may try to reschedule this visit with your currently scheduled watcher instead of canceling.
For Homeowners: Homeowners are solely responsible for maintaining property, casualty, and/or liability insurance for their properties.
For Watchers: EverAway maintains limited commercial general liability insurance with limits of $1 million per occurrence and $2 million in the aggregate, along with supplemental umbrella coverage insurance coverage, for claims against Watchers which may arise in connection with a Watcher’s performance of covered services arranged through the EverAway platform. EverAway also provides occupational accident coverage for eligible Watchers while performing covered services arranged through the EverAway platform. However, the Watcher is solely responsible for determining the adequacy of such insurance coverage and maintaining any additional insurance the Watcher determines is necessary in connection with a Visit or as may be required by law. The amounts and types of insurance indicated above do not substitute for an independent determination by the Watcher of the amounts and types of insurance which the Watcher must determine to be reasonably necessary to protect itself and it’s the services it provides. All insurance coverage which may be provided by EverAway is subject to the applicable insurance policy terms, conditions, limitations and exclusions.
